The Nebraska Black Sports Hall of Fame

In addition to being multi-purpose, the Nebraska Black Sports Hall of Fame is also unique in its direction and vision. Athletes, for the most part, are too often viewed as one-dimensional beings. Far too often, at every level of competition athletes are viewed as being whatever they are seen doing. Whether its on the football field, on the track, in the gym, or on the wrestling mat they are all unique individuals.

The Nebraska Black Sports Hall of Fame does more then just honor the great Nebraska athletes. We also show and share the human side of these individuals.

As well as:

1. Sponsor community-related seminars, forums, conferences and work shops addressing issues related to youth, family, and community concerns.
   
   
2. Sponsor fundraising events and soliciting donations to raise money for college and university scholarships.
   
   
3. Sponsor youth related activities and programs, including field trips that promote moral character, fairness and justice among young people.
